Sessions & Fees

Oak Cottage Nursery is open from 8.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday 50 weeks a year


Session times within the nursery day are as follows:

Early session 8am- 9am
Morning – 9am to 1pm
Afternoon – 1pm to 4pm
Short day – 9am to 4pm
Long day 8am - 5.30pm (inc breakfast and dinner)
Late session 4.00pm to 5.30pm (inc dinner)

The nursery does not open on Bank Holidays and closes for 2 weeks over the Christmas period - please check exact dates with the office.

15 hours funding for all 3&4 years old and eligible children under 3

15 hours for 38 weeks per year term time, or 12 hours per weekf for 47 weeks a year stretched

Funded children hours may take their funding as follows:

Term Time only 5 days 1pm-4pm or All year round 4 days 1pm-4pm

Alternatively, you can use 6 hours of your funding between 9am and 4pm and pay for the additional charge per day (£11.50/£12.50/£13.50). For example, a combination of 2 short days and 1 pm will use your full entitlement of funding..

Extended 30 hours funding for eligible 3&4 year olds

30 hours for 38 weeks a term year time, or 24 hours a week for 47 weeks a year stretched.

Funded children eligible for extended hours may take their funding as follow:

Term Time only 5 days 10am-4pm or All year round 4 days 10am-4pm. We have a limited number of completely free spaces.

Alternatively, you can use 6 hours of your funding between 9am and 4pm and pay for the additional charge of (£11.50/£12.50/£13.50) per day.

Any variation in these sessions will be charged at the normal session price.

Payments

Nursery fees must be paid in advance.

Nursery fees shown above are valid for the term beginning September 2023

You can pay by:

  • Cash
  • Cheque – made payable to Oak Cottage Nursery
  • Bacs – to Barclays sort code 20-42-58 and account number 23328732 using your child's name as a reference
  • There are many grants available to contribute to your nursery fees – below we have outlined these.

Free childcare for eligible working families

Some (working) families may be eligible for up to 15 hours (under 3's) or 30 hours (3&4 year olds) free childcare per week.

Tax free childcare
